About This Course s-mod-info
Electrical incidents are dangerous and can cause serious injuries in the workplace. The risks include burns, internal injuries, cardiac arrest, and, in extreme cases, death. These incidents can happen from direct contact with live wires, faulty equipment, or unsafe work practices.
Awareness training helps by educating workers about the hazards associated with electricity and promoting a proactive approach to safety. In this course, participants will learn how to recognize potential electrical dangers, understand the basics of electrical science, and become familiar with safety protocols.
You will earn 1 hour of general elective credit for your Site Safety Training (SST) card upon completion of this course.
Upon completing lessons and passing the 5-question final exam with a minimum 75% score, receive an immediate certificate of completion. Three attempts are given for passing the final.
Note that THIS TRAINING IS AWARENESS-LEVEL ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.
This awareness-level orientation DOES NOT QUALIFY YOU TO WORK WITH ELECTRICITY. Your employer is responsible for providing the necessary training, controls, and equipment to ensure protection from electrical hazards.
