NYC SST: 62 Hour Complete Supervisor Safety Package

Only supervisors who need a new OSH 30 card should take this package.  

According to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB)'s Local Law 196, supervisors at NYC jobsites with a Site Safety Plan must complete 62 hours of mandatory Site Safety Training (SST). This includes Site Safety Managers, Site Safety Coordinators, Concrete Safety Managers, Construction Superintendents, and Competent Persons designated by Construction Superintendents. To determine if your job site necessitates this safety training, visit the NYC Site Safety Construction Map and enter your job address. 

For those with an up-to-date OSHA 30 card, our 32-Hour Supervisor SST Package fulfills the remaining requirements. Designed exclusively for supervisors without an up-to-date OSHA 30 card, this package encompasses prescribed courses, general electives, and specialized electives to meet the training standards: 

• Prescribed Courses:
  • OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training for Construction - 3.0 CEUs
  • 8-Hour Fall Prevention - 0.8 CEUs
  • 8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher/Chapter 33 - 0.8 CEUs
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher - 0.4 CEUs
  • 2-Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP) - 0.2 CEUs
  • 2-Hour Tool Box Talks - 0.2 CEUs
  • 2-Hour Pre-Task Safety Meetings - 0.2 CEUs
  • 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness - 0.2 CEUs
• General Electives:
  • 1-Hour Protection From Sun Exposure - 0.1 CEUs
  • 1-Hour Handling Heavy Materials and Proper Lifting Techniques - 0.1 CEUs
• Specialized Electives:
  • 1-Hour Asbestos / Lead Awareness - 0.1 CEUs
  • 1-Hour Confined Space Entry - 0.1 CEUs

Upon completion of the necessary hours, identity verification, and achieving at least 75% on quizzes and final exams, your SST card will be issued.
